Travel Pharmacist – Oncology Infusion | Day Shift

We are seeking an experienced Travel Pharmacist to support an outpatient oncology infusion center. This role offers a strong clinical focus in a structured, lower-stress environment compared to inpatient hospital settings.

Job Overview

• Specialty: Pharmacist (Oncology / Infusion)
• Schedule: 5x8s (Day Shift)
• Shift: Monday – Friday, rotating between 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Setting: Outpatient Infusion Center

Responsibilities

• Prepare and verify chemotherapy and infusion medications
• Perform sterile compounding in compliance with USP standards
• Ensure safe handling of hazardous and non-hazardous medications
• Collaborate with oncology providers, nurses, and care teams
• Monitor patient therapies and support pharmacotherapy management
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
• Provide medication counseling and clinical guidance as needed
• Support pharmacy workflow and quality assurance processes

Requirements

• Active Pharmacist license (must be in hand prior to submission)
• BLS certification required
• Experience with IV preparation, sterile compounding, and chemotherapy medications
• Strong knowledge of oncology pharmacotherapy and infusion workflows
• Ability to work independently in an outpatient setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Infusion center experience (strongly preferred)
• Oncology pharmacy experience
• Experience with Epic and Pyxis systems
• Previous travel experience
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills

Additional Details

• Monday–Friday schedule with rotating start times
• Weekend and holiday rotation may be required (minimal)
• No on-call requirements
• First-time travelers accepted
• No floating required within unit scope
