Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join a rehabilitation team on a 13-week contract. The PTA will work closely with Physical Therapists to support patient treatment plans, promote mobility, and enhance functional independence within a skilled nursing and long-term care environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
• Support patient rehabilitation activities focusing on strength, mobility, and functional improvement.
• Document patient progress accurately and timely in accordance with facility standards.
• Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and professional guidelines.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted state PTA license.
• Minimum of less than 1 year of experience in a related setting (SNF or LTC preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a care team.
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
