Description

🏥 Assignment Snapshot – LDRP (Birthing Center / Mother Baby)

📍 Facility: WVU System (West Virginia University Health System)

Must follow strict submission rules across entire system

⏱️ Shift & Schedule

12-hour shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Weekend: Every other
Call: ❌ Not required (can pick up extra shifts)
Holidays: Required

🏥 Unit Details

L&D Suites: 6 private “homelike” rooms
Postpartum: 11 private rooms
Volume: ~1,050 births/year
OB ED: 4-bed unit

👉 Smaller, more community-style OB unit with full-scope care

👶 Patient Population

High-risk OB (limited in-house MFM)
25+ weeks (depending on NICU capacity)
Transfers to higher level if needed

📊 Ratios (AWHONN)

L&D: 1:1–2
Mother/Baby: 4 couplets

📋 Requirements (Strict)

3 years experience required
Must have:
- BLS
- ACLS
- NRP
Must be able to:
- Circulate C-sections
- Recover post-op patients

👉 This is true LDRP – full-scope OB nurse required
