Description

EEG Technician (Electroencephalography Technologist)
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 3×12-hour shifts (Days or Nights)

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine and advanced EEG studies, including:
- Routine EEG
- Sleep and sleep-deprived EEG
- Long-term and video EEG monitoring
Accurately place electrodes using standard techniques (e.g., 10–20 system, collodion/glue application)
Monitor and document patient brain activity and recognize abnormal patterns
Assist with additional neurodiagnostic procedures such as:
- Evoked potentials (SSEP, auditory, visual, motor)
- EMG and nerve conduction studies (as needed)
Prepare, calibrate, and maintain EEG and related equipment
Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with clinical protocols
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams
Provide care across various units, including ICU, NICU, PICU, Emergency Department, and inpatient settings

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of EEG Technician experience
Active BLS certification (American Heart Association)
Certification in ABRET or R.EEGT

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in pediatric and critical care settings
Experience in Level I Trauma or teaching hospitals
Familiarity with Cerner EMR system
Certification in CLTM (Certified Long-Term Monitoring)
