Travel/Contract ICU Registered Nurse

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced ICU RN to deliver expert care to patients in a prominent Chicago hospital. This 13-week contract provides the unique opportunity to work in a supportive, high-volume ICU unit, honing your telemetry skills and making a difference in patient outcomes. Embrace a collaborative team environment that values resilience, adaptability, and social engagement—qualities essential for success in this fast-moving role.
Required Skills:
- Active Illinois RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience with strong telemetry skills
- Proficiency in Meditech electronic charting (training provided if needed)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM to 7:30 PM)
- Strong communication, resilience, and adaptability in a changing environment
- Ability to float to Tele or ED as needed
Nice to Have Skills:
- Previous experience working in high-acuity ICU settings
- Experience with EMR systems, particularly Meditech
- Additional certifications in critical care or specialty areas
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Valid Illinois RN license
- At least two years of ICU experience, with solid telemetry skills
- Strong charting skills
Other Requirements:
- COVID-19 vaccination (medical or religious declinations must be approved before start)
- Ability to work every other weekend and holiday rotation
- Willingness to float between ICU, Tele, or ED units as needed
- Must possess a driver’s license, professional references, and the last 4 digits of Social Security for compliance
