Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
Location: Sierra Vista, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department (ED) with a patient population that includes traumas, STEMIs, psychiatric, cardiac, gastrointestinal, stroke, and other emergency cases. The unit has 22 beds with patient ratios of 4:1 for pod patients, 2:1 for critical patients, and 6:1 for fast track. Shift is 7 PM to 7 AM with 36 guaranteed weekly hours and 4 weekend shifts in 4 weeks. No call requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
- Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC, CPI
- Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Unit Information
- Patient population includes all ages and conditions typical of an emergency department
- Electronic Health Record system: Cerner
- No float requirements
- Dress code: Scrubs of any color or print; non-scrubs, t-shirts, open-toe shoes, hoodies, and leggings are not allowed
