Description
Travel RN – LTAC
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) facility. This role involves providing high-quality patient care to individuals with complex medical needs, including ventilator support and telemetry monitoring.
The RN will be responsible for utilizing the nursing process, exercising clinical judgment, and ensuring safe, effective patient care in accordance with hospital policies and state regulations.
Schedule
- Shift: Weekend Days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient-centered care using the nursing process
- Monitor and manage high-acuity LTAC patients
- Provide care for patients with ventilators and tracheostomies
- Maintain and manage central lines
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Delegate tasks and supervise support staff
- Ensure compliance with safety and care standards
Required Qualifications
- Active RN License (New Mexico or Compact State)
- Minimum 1 year RN experience
- Current BLS & ACLS certifications (AHA required)
- Experience with:
- Ventilators (vent)
- Tracheostomy (trach) care
- Central lines
Preferred Qualifications
- LTAC or ICU experience
- Wound care experience
