RN – Cath Lab | Charleston, SC
We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) for an exciting opportunity at Roper Hospital in Charleston, SC.
📍 Location
- Facility: Roper Hospital
- Address: 316 Calhoun Street, Charleston, SC 29401
🕒 Schedule
- Shift: Monday – Friday
- Hours: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- Call: Required (details discussed during interview)
🩺 Job Overview
The Cath Lab RN provides high-quality patient care in a fast-paced procedural environment, supporting cardiac catheterization and related procedures. May also assist in Cath/EP labs and occasionally support TEE/CVs (intra-procedure only).
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments (physical, psychological, and functional)
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care as needed
- Provide patient and family education
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate documentation and procedure tracking
- Act as a patient advocate and ensure ethical care delivery
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required
🏥 Clinical Scope
- Cath Lab procedures
- EP Lab coverage (as needed)
- Possible support for TEE/CV procedures (documentation & circulating only)
- Scrubbing experience is a plus
✅ Requirements
- License: Active RN license (SC or Compact State)
- Experience: Cath Lab / Cardiac experience required
- Certifications:
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- Education:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (Required)
- BSN (Preferred)
