School LPN – 1:1 Student Support | Lakewood, WA

We are currently seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support a 1:1 kindergarten student in Lakewood, WA for an immediate start through the end of the school year in June.
Pay Rate: $40–$46 per hour
About the Opportunity
This is a full-time, in-person school-based opportunity supporting a young student with complex medical needs. The LPN will provide direct nursing care and daily support throughout the school day, helping ensure the student’s health, safety, and access to learning in the classroom environment.
Job Details
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: End of school year in June
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Hours: 8:00 AM–3:30 PM
Setting: School-based
Assignment: 1:1 kindergarten student
Does not require transport for student
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 nursing support for a kindergarten student throughout the school day
- Deliver care for a student with complex medical needs, including tracheostomy care and G-tube support
- Assist with mobility needs and daily health-related support
- Monitor the student’s condition and respond appropriately to health and safety needs
- Collaborate with school staff, family, and other providers to support the student’s school participation
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow all district and nursing protocols
Qualifications
- Current Washington LPN license
- Prior experience working with pediatric patients preferred
- Experience with tracheostomy care, G-tube care, and medically fragile students strongly preferred
- Comfortable providing 1:1 support in a school setting
- Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills
