Description
Job Title: Inpatient Pharmacist – Day / Afternoon Shift
Location: Salina, Kansas
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense prescribed medications to inpatient populations.
- Provide medication counseling and education to patients and healthcare staff.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and pharmacy standards.
- Participate in medication reviews, safety initiatives, and clinical decision-making.
- Support coverage during every 4th weekend and occasional evening shifts; on-call duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Current Kansas pharmacist license OR eligibility for licensure (highly preferred).
- Experience in inpatient hospital pharmacy preferred.
- Strong clinical knowledge in pharmacotherapy and medication safety.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient education skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and occasional evenings.
Schedule:
- Full-Time, Day Shift
- 8-hour shifts, every 4th weekend coverage
- Occasional evening/on-call shifts
