Description
Responsibilities
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychosocial, and educational needs
• Develop, implement, and update individualized patient care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes promptly to physicians and charge nurses
• Deliver evidence-based nursing care aligned with hospital policies and standards
• Provide patient and family education based on individualized care plans
• Respond effectively to emergency situations with critical thinking and clinical precision
• Ensure infection control and patient safety by following proper protocols and use of protective equipment
• Communicate effectively using SBAR and proper handoff processes
• Participate in discharge planning and coordinate referrals as needed
• Continuously evaluate patient outcomes and adjust care plans accordingly
Requirements
Experience
• Ability to provide age-specific and culturally competent patient care
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
• Demonstrated critical thinking and clinical judgment
• Ability to adapt to change and work in diverse healthcare settings
• Commitment to ongoing professional development
Licenses/Certifications
• Active RN License (Ohio or Compact)
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Education
• Diploma in Nursing required
• BSN preferred
