Registered Nurse – PACU
Location: Kingman, AZ
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: June 15, 2026
Shift: Day Shift – 4x10 hours (8:00 AM – 6:30 PM)

Job Overview

• Provide nursing care across Pre-Op, Post-Op, and PACU settings
• Work in a fast-paced surgical recovery environment
• Care for adolescent, adult, and pediatric patients
• Handle a variety of surgical cases including general, ortho, thoracic, GI, urology, and more

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor patients during Phase I and Phase II recovery
• Perform airway assessment and manage ventilated patients
• Administer medications including vasopressors, narcotics, antihypertensives, and emergency drugs
• Manage pain control and sedation levels (RASS scoring)
• Provide cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central line care
• Assist with pre-op and post-op procedures including patient assessment and education
• Handle discharge instructions, medication reconciliation, and follow-up care
• Respond to emergencies including malignant hyperthermia protocols

Schedule & Work Details

• Day shift: 4x10-hour shifts per week
• Call required (approximately 5–6 call shifts per month)
• Weekend coverage: call only
• Patient ratio: 1:2
• Block scheduling not guaranteed

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of PACU or relevant acute care experience
• Active RN license
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• Experience in PACU, Pre/Post, or surgical recovery settings

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience with arterial lines and advanced cardiac monitoring
• Knowledge of various anesthesia types (general, spinal, MAC, nerve blocks)
• Experience with high-acuity surgical cases and diverse specialties
• Strong skills in post-operative care and patient recovery
