Contract Details:

Start Date: ASAP
Shift Options: 4x12 Variable or 3x12 Variable (traveler’s choice)
Shifts will be either Days or Nights based on facility needs (no regular rotation)
Duration: 13 or 26 weeks (traveler’s choice)
Patient Ratio: 1:20
On-Call: Not required
Floating: Yes, within scope
Block Schedule: Not available
Guaranteed Hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks (may be called off for 1x12-hour shift per 2 weeks)

Required Qualifications

• Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year of LTC (Long Term Care) experience (required)
  • Previous travel experience required
  • First-time travelers not accepted
• Licensure:
  • Active Alaska (AK) RN License – Required (must be in hand)
  • Pending license not accepted
• Certifications:
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required
  • Alaska Food Worker Certification – Required
    (Obtained on-site during orientation; $10 one-time fee)
• Additional Requirements:
  • Must be willing to float within scope as needed
  • Local candidates not accepted (must live at least 50 miles from facility)

Scheduling & RTO Guidelines

• Maximum 2 weeks RTO allowed for a 26-week contract
• Must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays:
  • Thanksgiving
  • Christmas
  • New Year’s
• All RTO must be submitted at time of submission (no exceptions after offer/contract)

Traveler Vehicle Program

• Vehicle provided by facility (rental or facility-owned)
• Available up to 72 hours before start and up to 24 hours after end
• Usage Restrictions:
  • For local use only (“around town”) within a 30-mile radius
  • Not permitted for off-road use
  • Must be returned during time off periods
• Requirements to Operate Vehicle:
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Proof of personal insurance with rental coverage
  • Only the traveler is authorized to drive
• Additional Notes:
  • Optional tire chains available at additional cost
  • Vehicle must be returned clean and with a full tank of gas
