Description
Pathologist's Assistant with emphasis on surgical pathology. In this setting, you'll play a critical role in the dx of our patients, helping pathologists make oncologic dx. You'll be part of a larger laboratory group that is a very engaged team.
Scrubs provided. Cryostat and bone saw used.
1 year experience REQUIRED; 2+ preferred.
Certifications Preferred: ASCP-PA
Skills/Experience REQUIRED: Hospital clinical laboratory; Performs gross examination and dissection of large/complex specimens; Performs gross examination and dissection of small biopsies; Sectioning surgical pathology specimens; Specimen accessioning; Specimen fixation; Specimen receipt and labeling; Obtain biological samples for flow cytometry; Tumor Triage; Assist in bone marrow collection; Cut and stain frozen sections
