Travel Mammography Technologist – Mobile Unit | Oklahoma City, OK

Start Date: 4/27

Assignment Length: 13 Weeks

Gross Pay: $2,612/week

Schedule: 5×8 Days

Travel Requirement: Weekly travel across Oklahoma on OU Health’s mobile mammography coach

Travel Perks: Hotel + food expenses covered during travel weeks

 

Position Overview

OU Health is seeking an experienced Travel Mammography Technologist to support its mobile mammography coach, which provides breast imaging services to communities across Oklahoma. This role is ideal for a seasoned Mammo Tech who enjoys autonomy, patient interaction, and traveling to different sites each week. Strong clinical skills, professionalism, and adaptability are essential.

 

Requirements

  • Registered Mammography Technologist
  • Minimum 3 years of Mammography experience
  • AHA BLS
  • Current Oklahoma license (or ability to obtain before start)
  • Must meet one of the following education pathways:
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP‑accredited cardiovascular specialty program
  • Graduate of a JRCERT‑accredited radiologic technology program
  • Must hold ARDMS, ARRT, and/or CCI credentials required by the hiring department
  • Preferred: 1 year full‑time experience in a cardiovascular or radiologic specialty
  • Ability to work independently in a mobile environment
  • Strong communication and patient‑care skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high‑quality screening mammography exams in a mobile setting
  • Ensure proper patient positioning, image quality, and documentation
  • Maintain equipment readiness and assist with mobile coach setup/teardown
  • Travel weekly to designated sites across Oklahoma (lodging + meals covered)
  • Provide patient education and support in a community‑based environment
  • Follow all MQSA, ACR, and OU Health protocols
  • Document exams accurately using facility systems
