Description
Emergency Department RN (ED RN) – Travel Position
Schedule: Rotating Nights/Evenings
Hours: 36H / 48H per week
Shift Options:
- 3×12-hour shifts
- 4×12-hour shifts
- Rotating shifts:
- 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 3:00 PM – 3:30 AM
Note: Rotation based on departmental needs; primary need is night shift
Assignment Details
- Start Date: May 18, 2025
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years (First-time travelers accepted)
Licensure & Certifications
- Required:
- RN License (Maryland State)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NIH Stroke Certification
- CPI (completed during onboarding)
- Preferred:
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
Work Requirements
- Weekends: Every other weekend
- Holidays: Required as scheduled
- Floating:
- Within specialty and to sister SRH ED facilities:
- Cambridge
- Chestertown
- Queenstown
- Within specialty and to sister SRH ED facilities:
- On-Call: Not required (no pre-scheduled on-call shifts)
Clinical Details
- Patient Population: All age groups (infant to geriatric)
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio:
- Typically 1:4
- Up to 1:5 for lower acuity patients
- Patient Diagnoses:
- Wide variety across all systems
- Includes complex and high-acuity cases
- Fast-paced Emergency Department environment
