o   Day Shift – 3-4 Techs, 3-4 RN’s, 1 Scheduler/Coordinator

o   Night Shift – Call

·       Patient Ratios – Depends of type of IR procedure performed

·       Type of equipment –  Discovery 740 IGS

·       EMR – Meditech

Skill Set Most recruited for: 

Must have:  candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

·       Critical Care Experience

·       Procedural Area Experience

·       Moderate Sedation

Preferred or nice to have:  candidates with these skills will be considered first.

·        PALS

·        Meditech Experience

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):  

·        Biopsies/Drain Insertion

·        Angiograms/Peripheral Vascular

·        Paracenteses/Thoracentesis

·        Assist with other imaging needs (CT Coronary/MRI Monitoring/Myelograms)

·        Line Placement

·       RN’s are not required to scrub cases

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:

·      BLS, ACLS

Floating Area(s):

·       None likely; possibly assisting in CT, MRI, Radiology

Dress Code:

·       Scrub Color/Attire –  Scrubs provided

Weekends and On call (if any):

·       1-2 nights of call per week, 1 weekend of call every 4-5 weekends
