Description

We are seeking an experienced Endoscopy / GI Registered Nurse (RN) for a Level 3 role at Strong Memorial Hospital. This position involves pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care, including conscious sedation, telemetry monitoring, and recovery from anesthesia.

📋 Job Details

Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule Options:
- 5x8s OR 4x10s
Hours: Between 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM (M–F)
On-Call: Required (overnights & weekends)

🩺 Core Responsibilities

Perform pre-procedure intake and patient assessments
Assist physicians during endoscopic/GI procedures
Administer conscious sedation and IV medications
Monitor vital signs and cardiac rhythms (telemetry)
Provide post-anesthesia recovery care
Prepare, clean, and sterilize endoscopy equipment
Complete accurate documentation and discharge instructions

🧠 Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 2+ years Endoscopy / GI RN experience
Strong IV insertion skills (expert level)
Experience with conscious sedation & anesthesia recovery
Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms (telemetry monitoring)
Comfortable in a fast-paced procedural environment

✅ Requirements (Strict)

Active New York RN License (ONLY accepted)
BLS (AHA)
ACLS (AHA)
