Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Infection Prevention Nurse to lead and support infection control initiatives within our healthcare facility. This role is responsible for monitoring, preventing, and controlling the spread of infections to ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate has strong clinical knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and a proactive approach to quality and safety.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain infection prevention and control programs in accordance with CDC and facility guidelines
• Conduct ongoing surveillance of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and report findings
• Educate staff on infection control practices, policies, and procedures
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, CMS)
• Investigate infection outbreaks and implement corrective action plans
• Monitor hand hygiene, PPE usage, and sanitation practices across the facility
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote patient safety and quality care
• Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and infection logs
• Participate in audits, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives
• Stay updated on current infection control guidelines and best practices 

Requirements:

• Active, unrestricted RN  License
• BLS Certification (AHA preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of LTC experience preferred
