Speech Language Pathologist
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat residents with speech, hearing, swallowing, and cognitive disabilities in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on thorough assessments.
• Administer and interpret specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on monitoring and practicing new communication skills.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care in a skilled nursing facility setting.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and maintain resident privacy at all times.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• Current license in Speech Language Therapy as mandated by state law.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Six months of experience in a long-term care environment preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Knowledge of geriatric clinical needs and effective speech therapy techniques.
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to develop creative, individualized treatment strategies.
