Medical Technologist (Core Lab Generalist) – Travel Assignment

GHR Healthcare is seeking 2 Core Lab Medical Technologists for a travel assignment in Plainsboro, NJ. This is a strong opportunity to work in a fast-paced hospital laboratory with a focus on Chemistry and Hematology, along with Blood Bank exposure.

Position Details

• Weekly Pay: $2,480
• Schedule: 5x8s – 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
• Hours: 40 hours/week
• Openings: 2
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: May 11, 2026
• Setting: Hospital Laboratory
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend + holidays required

What You’ll Be Doing

• Perform core lab testing across Chemistry, Hematology, and Blood Bank
• Analyze specimens and ensure accurate and timely result reporting
• Operate and maintain automated lab instrumentation
• Perform quality control, calibration, and maintenance
• Troubleshoot lab equipment and resolve discrepancies
• Follow lab safety, compliance, and documentation standards
• Collaborate with clinical teams to support patient care and diagnosis

Requirements

• ASCP (BOC) Certification – REQUIRED
• 2+ years of hospital laboratory experience REQUIRED
• Strong generalist experience REQUIRED
• Experience in:
  • Chemistry and Hematology (most critical need)
  • Blood Bank preferred
• Familiarity with LIS systems, QC, and lab safety protocols
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
