Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, on-site, days shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week

Key Responsibilities
 

• Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process within a fast-paced cardiac critical care or intensive care setting
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient needs and responses
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document accordingly
• Coordinate patient care in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, and timely care aligned with protocols and standards
• Supervise and support LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel
• Meet patient and family education, discharge planning, and competency requirements

Required Qualifications
 

• Two (2) years of current experience in a cardiac critical care or ICU setting with 12+ beds
• State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
• BLS and ACLS certifications through recognized providers (American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross)
• NIHSS certification
• Successful completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment
• Ability to float between departments or locations within a 20-mile radius

Preferred Experience / Skills
 

• Experience with open heart, LVAD, or balloon pump is a plus
• EPIC electronic medical record experience (training available onsite)
