Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Position

Location: Paris, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

• Located near the Texas-Oklahoma border in a small town with a low cost of living and historic downtown

Unit Information

• Department: Respiratory Therapy
• Unit Type: Main Hospital, Respiratory Therapy Unit
• Patient Ratios: Vary depending on census
• Staffing: Includes unit secretaries, tech availability, and EKG tech on weekdays
• Equipment: Servo I ventilators, Carescape ventilators, V60 BiPAPs, standard nebulizers
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, with every other weekend required
• Floating Policy: None
• Dress Code: Ceil Blue uniform

Job Responsibilities & Procedures

• ICU care and ventilator management
• Blood gas analysis and arterial line draws
• EKGs and basic respiratory care
• Care for tracheostomy patients
• Weaning trials and oxygen therapy knowledge

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Texas
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, including experience within the last year
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS
• Float requirements: as needed
