Travel Histotechnologist (HTL) – Day Shift | Teaching Hospital
We are seeking an experienced Travel Histotechnologist (HTL) for a leading teaching hospital environment. This is a great opportunity to work in a high-volume, specialized lab setting with advanced resources and strong team support.
Job Overview
- Specialty: Histotechnologist (HTL)
- Schedule: 5x8s (Day Shift)
- Shift: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: ASAP
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Setting: Hospital Laboratory
Responsibilities
- Perform histology procedures including tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining
- Prepare slides for microscopic examination by pathologists
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure quality control standards are met
- Follow established laboratory protocols and safety guidelines
- Accurately document and manage specimen data
- Collaborate with pathology and laboratory teams
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
- Maintain efficiency and accuracy in a high-volume lab environment
Requirements
- Active Histotechnologist (HTL) certification
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in histology required
- Active state license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Strong understanding of histology techniques and laboratory processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in large hospital or teaching facility environments
- Previous travel experience
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent organizational and technical skills
