DESCRIPTION:

Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU / Step Down / Progressive Care

Location: Franklin, NC 28734
Shift: 3x12 Nights
Contract Type: Travel Assignment

Minimum Requirements (Must Have)

• ICU or Step Down/Progressive Care experience required
• At least one prior travel assignment required
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive ICU experience
• Experience with high-acuity patients and advanced monitoring

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process
• Monitor and manage critically ill or high-acuity patients
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards

Typical Procedures Performed on Unit

• Thoracentesis
• Ventilator (Vent) management
• Arterial line (A-line) monitoring and care
• Central line management
• Dressing changes and wound care

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Floating Requirements

• Must be willing to float to the Emergency Department (ED) as needed
