- Candidates must have a minimum of 2+ years of experience working as a Cath Lab Technologist. Prior travel experience is required, as this unit does not accept first-time travelers.
- On-call duties are mandatory, including approximately 6 weekday evening calls and 1 weekend on-call shift every 6 weeks. Candidates must be able to respond within 30 minutes when called in.
Required certifications include:
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- RCIS (CCI)
- This is a high-acuity Cath Lab environment requiring strong interventional experience.
Required Procedures:
- PCI / PTCA
- Cardiac stent placement
- Left & right heart catheterization
- IABP & Impella
- Rotational atherectomy (Rotablator)
- Temporary pacemaker
- Ventricular assist devices (VADs)
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Scrubbing & circulating
- Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
- Vascular closure devices (Perclose, StarClose)
- Strict sterile technique maintenance
