Registered Nurse – Outpatient SurgeryLocation: Calabasas, CA Contract Length: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Shift | 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM (5×8‑hour shifts)Key ResponsibilitiesPre‑Op<ul><li>Conduct pre‑operative assessments</li><li>Confirm consents, NPO status, surgical history, and medications</li><li>Establish IV access and administer ordered pre‑op medications</li><li>Prepare patients physically &amp; emotionally for procedures</li></ul>PACU / Phase I–II Recovery<ul><li>Recover patients from MAC, local, and conscious sedation</li><li>Monitor airway, cardiac status, pain, and post‑anesthesia complications</li><li>Manage surgical drains, dressings, and post‑procedure instructions</li><li>Perform safe patient handoffs and documentation</li></ul>Additional Duties<ul><li>Assist with pain‑management workflows</li><li>Provide patient/family education</li><li>Collaborate with anesthesia, surgical teams, and support staff</li><li>Maintain compliance with infection‑control and safety protocols</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>Minimum 1 year Ambulatory OR experience</li><li>Active RN License – State of CA</li><li>(must be active; no pending licenses)</li><li>Ambulatory surgery experience preferred</li><li>BLS – AHA or ARC</li><li>ACLS – AHA or ARC</li></ul>
