Description
Experience Required:
- 3 years of ED RN experience
- Travel experience preferred; first-time travelers considered with 5+ years ED experience
- Charting: EPIC (Required)
Licenses & Certifications (Required):
- Active Maryland RN License
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- NIHSS
- CPI
- TNCC
Patient & Unit Information:
- Ratios: 1:4 (up to 5 with lower acuity)
- Average Daily Census: 140
- Unit Beds: 46
- Age Groups: All ages
Common Diagnoses:
- Chest Pain
- Stroke
- Sepsis
- Cardiac Arrest
- Trauma
- Respiratory Illness
- Respiratory Arrest
Special Equipment:
- Belmont (trauma)
- Giraffe warmer (neonates)
- Rapid Infuser
- LUCAS device (cardiac arrests)
Scheduling Requirements:
- Weekends: Every other weekend (EOW)
- Holidays: Required, as scheduled
- Floating: Required within specialty as needed
- On-call: No scheduled on-call required (preferred)
