Description
A growing healthcare team in Liberty, Missouri is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology RN for a travel contract opportunity. This role is ideal for a nurse with strong procedural experience who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and is comfortable taking call.
Position Overview
This Travel Contract IR RN Job offers a consistent weekday schedule paired with call opportunities, making it a great fit for nurses looking to build advanced procedural experience while maintaining a predictable routine.
Schedule
5x8s – Monday through Friday
Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
On-call required (weekday evenings and weekends)
Set weekday schedule
Responsibilities
Assist with a variety of interventional radiology procedures
Provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedural patient care
Monitor patient status and respond to changes during procedures
Administer medications, including conscious sedation when applicable
Collaborate closely with physicians and procedural teams
Participate in on-call rotation and respond to urgent cases
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience with IR crossover required
IR experience strongly preferred
Active RN license required
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Ability to take call and respond within required timeframes
Preferred Experience
Strong background in procedural nursing
Experience with sedation and critical patient monitoring
Familiarity with Cerner or similar EMR systems
Work Environment
Collaborative procedural team with strong physician support
Structured orientation to ensure a smooth onboarding experience
