Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join an acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will deliver radiation therapy treatments with precision and safety while collaborating with oncology teams. This role requires experience in advanced radiation therapy techniques and the ability to work in both inpatient and outpatient environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments using advanced techniques
• Perform patient setup, positioning, and beam alignment
• Operate treatment equipment including Elekta systems
• Conduct CBCT, kV/mV imaging for treatment accuracy
• Assist with simulation and treatment planning implementation
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergency situations
• Educate patients and families on treatment procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC and MOSAIQ systems
• Follow strict radiation safety and infection control protocols
• Float between units as required

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapy experience
• ARRT (T) Certification (Required)
• BLS Certification (Required)
• Experience in acute care and/or outpatient oncology settings
• Strong knowledge of radiation safety and treatment protocols
• Pending license not accepted

Preferred Skills & Experience:

Treatment Expertise:

• IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy)
• Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS)
• External Beam Therapy
• Respiratory Gating
• Craniospinal treatments

Clinical Experience:

• Oncology cases including lymphoma, leukemia, pancreatic, and kidney cancers
• Simulation of treatment sites
• Treatment planning and implementation
• Emergency case handling

Technical Skills:

• CBCT / kV / mV imaging
• Beam modification (wedges, filters, custom molds/shields)
• Field shaping and portal imaging

Systems & Equipment:

• EPIC (Charting)
• MOSAIQ
• Elekta Synergy & Infinity treatment units
• C-RAD (preferred)
