Description

Oversee daily operations of the LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) unit
Manage and support nursing staff within the department
Provide leadership coverage, including on-call responsibilities
Ensure safe patient care for low to moderate acuity L&D cases, including C-sections
Handle outpatient services such as stress tests and postpartum follow-ups (e.g., bili checks)
Coordinate patient care in a rural setting with limited resources
Assist with critical decision-making for patient transfers when needed
Collaborate with providers and shared anesthesia resources, especially after hours
Ensure compliance with required certifications and clinical standards (BLS; ACLS, AWHONN, STABLE preferred)
Monitor patient care quality and maintain safety protocols
Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and reporting
Maintain professional work environment and adhere to dress code
Support staff in managing challenges related to transport and late-presenting labor patients
