Travel Behavioral Health RN – Adolescent Mood Disorders
Location: Maryland
Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)
Shift: 12x3(Nights)
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) to join a well-established psychiatric facility specializing in adolescent mood disorders. This is a great opportunity for both experienced travel nurses and first-time travelers looking to build their career in behavioral health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to adolescents with mood and behavioral disorders
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions accurately
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment
- May be required to serve as Charge RN when needed
- Float to different units or age groups based on facility needs
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience (Behavioral Health preferred)
- Active RN License (state or compact, as applicable)
- BLS (BCLS) certification required
- Ability to work with varied age populations
- Strong communication and patient care skills
