Neonatal Resuscitation Certification and ACLS within one year of employment.</strong><br /> </li><li><p><strong>Experience : 4 years experience in Obstetrics care preferred.</strong><br /><strong>Skills: Knowledge of or interest in learning labor, delivery, postpartum and nursing care essentials. Principles of sterile technique and infection control. Skilled in technical aspects of mother/infant care. Able to perform effectively in highly stressful situations. Able to interact effectively with a wide variety of people and have good communication skills.</strong></p><p> </p></li><li><strong>Responsibility : Performing assessments, monitoring process of labor, preparing for C-sections, inductions, and proper documentation of nursing care. Administer care during labor, post-delivery, and postpartum including infant care and providing patient education. Prepares delivery room, provides emotional support, and coordinates transfers. Administer IV medications, adhere to principles of infection control and general policies of OB department. Knowledge and/or interest in obstetrics and equipment.</strong></li></ul>
