Description
Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry (Night Shift)
Location: Lubbock, TX
Department: Telemetry (Peace 5)
Shift: Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 3×12‑hour shifts
Required Qualifications
- Active RN License (TX)
- Minimum 1 year Telemetry RN experience
- BLS & ACLS Certifications
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Epic experience – Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric telemetry patients
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using unit‑based and remote telemetry
- Administer medications including cardiac and vasoactive drips (titration as ordered)
- Manage IV therapy, central lines, PICC lines, and ports
- Care for patients with conditions such as CHF, NSTEMI, COPD, ESRD, sepsis, and stroke
- Respond to emergencies utilizing Rapid Response and Code Teams
- Perform wound care and manage surgical drains as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including pharmacy, RT, IV team, and case management
- Document care accurately in Epic
