📌 Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift travel assignment. This community hospital offers a supportive environment with strong teamwork and a reputation for excellent traveler experiences.

🩺 Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients requiring step-down/PCU level monitoring
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to clinical changes
• Administer medications and IV therapies
• Perform patient assessments and develop care plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal outcomes
• Float to ED if required (within scope) 

✅ Requirements

• Active RN License (NC or Compact)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• BLS Certification (required)
• ACLS Certification (required)
• Experience with higher-acuity or ICU-level skills preferred
• Full SSN is required at the time of submission.
• Local candidates are not eligible; candidates must have a permanent address more than 50 miles from the facility.

💡 Preferred Qualifications

• Prior PCU or step-down experience
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system
• Strong critical thinking and cardiac monitoring skills

• Unit: Acute Care / PCU
• Beds: 23
• Patient Ratio:
  • Days: 1:5
  • Nights: 1:6
• Support Staff: HUC + PCTs (3 days / 2 nights)
• Floating: As needed to ED
• Scheduling: Based on facility needs
