Description
Minimum Requirements
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years required
- Must be comfortable working both MedSurg and OB/L&D
- Licensure:
- License required (facility willing to wait)
- Education:
- BSN not required
Required Certifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring / Fetal Heart Monitoring
Clinical Expectations
- Primary Role: MedSurg with OB/L&D responsibilities as needed
- OB nurses will manage MedSurg patients when no OB cases are present
- When OB patients are admitted, nurse will transition to OB/L&D care
- Facility prefers to have two L&D nurses present during deliveries
- Exposure to a wide variety of patient types due to critical access setting
Preferred (Not Required)
- Telemetry experience
- Pediatric experience

- Additional EMR: CPSI (training provided)
