📌 Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) for a high-acuity cardiac program. This facility is a Level II Trauma Center with a strong reputation for cardiac care, offering exposure to advanced interventional procedures in a collaborative environment.

 

🫀 Responsibilities

  • Assist with and monitor patients during cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Provide care for patients undergoing interventional cardiology procedures
  • Administer medications, including emergency cardiac drugs
  • Monitor hemodynamics and patient response during procedures
  • Support pre- and post-procedure patient care
  • Participate in on-call rotation and emergency cases 

 

✅ Requirements

  • Active RN License (SC or Compact)
  • Minimum 1–2 years of Cath Lab experience
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac medications and emergency response
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced procedural environment
  • Full SSN is required at the time of submission.
  • Local candidates are not eligible; candidates must have a permanent address more than 50 miles from the facility.

 

💡 Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with MacLab and Meditech charting systems
  • Previous experience in high-volume Cath Labs
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills 

 

🏥 Assignment Details

  • Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab
  • Labs: 2
  • Cases: ~10 per day
  • Procedures Include:
    • Left Heart Cath (LHC)
    • PCI (stents)
    • TAVR
    • Pacemaker (PPM)
    • Impella
    • IABP
  • Call Requirement: 7–9 call days/month (including at least 1 weekend)
  • Weekend/Holiday: Rotational coverage required
  • Charting Systems: MacLab, Meditech
  • Scrubs: Provided
