Description
Job Title: Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Memphis, TN
Shift: Night Shift
Schedule: 48 hours/week
Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care, Level I Trauma Center
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Level I Trauma Center. The RN will be responsible for managing a diverse patient population while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams in a team-nursing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in a Medical-Surgical unit
- Manage patient assignments with 1:7 ratio (team nursing model)
- Collaborate with PCCs, RNs, and support staff
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions accurately
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Respond to changes in patient status in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards
- Participate in patient care coordination in a high-acuity environment
- Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years recent Med-Surg RN experience – Required
- Level I Trauma Center experience – Required
- Large hospital experience – Required
- Travel RN experience – Required
- Must hold active RN license
- No first-time travelers unless 3+ years recent experience
