📌 Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a high-acuity overflow stepdown unit. This role is ideal for nurses comfortable managing complex cardiac patients and multiple IV drips in a fast-paced telemetry environment.

🫀 Responsibilities

• Provide care for cardiac telemetry and stepdown patients (IMCU overflow)
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in condition
• Manage multiple IV infusions including cardiac, anticoagulant, and insulin drips
• Administer medications and support hemodynamically unstable patients
• Provide post-cardiac cath care including TR band management
• Collaborate with rapid response, respiratory, pharmacy, and provider teams
• Float to similar units as needed 

⚠️ Critical Clinical Requirements

Must be fully competent in managing:

• Cardiac drips: Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin
• Anticoagulants: Heparin, Argatroban, Aggrastat
• Insulin drips
• Vasoactive medication titration (no titration + titration as appropriate) 

✅ Requirements

• Active RN License (GA or Compact)
• Minimum 1+ year RN experience (tele/stepdown preferred)
• Strong experience with 1:5 patient ratios
• BLS, ACLS from AHA is required
• Experience with telemetry, cardiac monitoring, and drips (required) 

💡 Preferred Qualifications

• NIHSS certification
• Previous charge nurse experience
• Experience in PCU/IMCU/stepdown settings
• Epic charting experience 

🏥 Assignment Details

• Unit: Cardiac Telemetry #1 / Tele 4S
• Census: ~32 patients
• Patient Ratio:
  • Days: 1:5
  • Nights: 1:5
  • Weekends: 1:6
• Floating: Yes (to like units)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (~6 shifts/contract)
• Orientation: 36 hours
