Description

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room
Facility: CHA Cambridge Hospital
Location: 1493 Cambridge St, Cambridge, MA 02139
Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 05/05/2026
Shift: Rotating, 4×10 hours (07:00–17:30 or 11:00–21:30)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
On-Call: Required (every 5–6 evenings + every 6th/7th weekend)
PR: $22/Hour on W2 + $2620/Weekly
Gross Weekly: $3500

 

Key Responsibilities
Provide perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room setting
Prepare patients, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures
Assist surgeons during procedures, ensuring sterile technique is maintained
Monitor patient status pre-, intra-, and post-operatively
Collaborate with surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain accurate documentation and patient records (EPIC preferred)

 

Requirements
Minimum 1+ year of Operating Room RN experience – Required
Prior travel experience – Required (First-time travelers not accepted)
Flexibility with rotating shifts and on-call schedule – Required
Ability to work weekends and major holidays – Required
Strong clinical and communication skills in surgical environment

 

Certifications & Licensure
Active Massachusetts RN License – Required (Must be active at submission)
AHA BLS Certification – Required
Flu Vaccine – Required (seasonal)
NURSYS report (within last 7 days) – Required
