Travel Pharmacist – Clinical Pharmacist

We are seeking a Travel Pharmacist for a 13-week assignment in a hospital setting. This role is ideal for a pharmacist with strong clinical knowledge who is comfortable working independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team.

Job Overview

• Specialty: Pharmacist (Clinical)
• Schedule: 5x8s (Day Shift)
• Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Setting: Acute Care Hospital

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical pharmacy services to support safe and effective medication therapy
• Review, verify, and dispense medications in accordance with hospital protocols
• Develop and monitor medication regimens, including antibiotic stewardship and dosing (e.g., vancomycin)
• Compound and oversee preparation of sterile and hazardous IV medications
• Serve as a clinical resource for providers, nurses, and healthcare staff
• Document interventions and patient care activities in the electronic medical record
• Participate in pharmacy operations, including inventory management and medication safety
• Respond to rapid response, code blue, and trauma events as needed

Requirements

• PharmD or Registered Pharmacist (RPh) degree
• Active Pharmacist license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2+ years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Experience with IV compounding required
• Knowledge of pharmacy laws, drug classifications, and clinical practices
• Epic EMR experience preferred

• Day shift schedule with potential on-call responsibilities
• Participation in committees such as pharmacy & therapeutics and antibiotic stewardship
• Experience with automated dispensing systems preferred
• Must be adaptable and able to manage a dynamic clinical environment
