Travel Pharmacist – Inpatient Clinical Pharmacist

We are seeking a Travel Pharmacist for a 13-week assignment in a critical access hospital setting. This role is ideal for a pharmacist who is comfortable working independently and managing a wide range of inpatient pharmacy responsibilities.

Job Overview

• Specialty: Pharmacist (Inpatient Clinical)
• Schedule: 4x10s (Day Shift)
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (weekdays)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Setting: Critical Access Hospital

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient pharmacy services across multiple units including ICU, Med-Surg, ED, and Labor & Delivery
• Review and verify medication orders for safety, accuracy, and appropriateness
• Manage medication therapy and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations
• Serve as a clinical resource for providers, nurses, and healthcare staff
• Support medication distribution and inventory management systems
• Maintain accurate documentation using electronic medical records
• Work independently, particularly during weekend coverage

Requirements

• PharmD or Registered Pharmacist (RPh) degree
• Active Pharmacist license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2+ years of current hospital pharmacy experience required
• Ability to work independently in a rural hospital setting
• Strong clinical knowledge across inpatient pharmacy services

Additional Details

• Monday–Friday schedule with rotating weekend coverage (approximately every 3rd weekend)
• Weekend shifts are shorter (typically daytime coverage)
• No on-call requirements
• Rural location—housing availability should be reviewed prior to submission
