Direct Hire | Full-Time | 12-Hour Shifts

A community-focused healthcare facility in Show Low, AZ is seeking an experienced Med Surg / Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team. Position Overview

• Permanent, full-time position
• 12-hour shifts
• 24-bed Med Surg unit with telemetry capability on all beds
• Heavy telemetry patient population
• Ability to float across Med Surg units and ICU (Med Surg overflow patients only)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to adult Med Surg and telemetry patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms
• Perform neurological assessments and respond to changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Float to other Med Surg units and ICU as needed (Med Surg level patients)
• Provide pediatric care only if PALS certified
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR
• Ensure adherence to patient safety and quality standards

Requirements

Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience (Required)
• Strong neuro and cardiac clinical skills (Required)
• Experience in Med Surg and Telemetry settings
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to floating

Licensure & Certifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (Required)
• PALS certification (Preferred; required for pediatric assignments)

Unit & Facility Details

• 24-bed Med Surg unit with telemetry capability on all beds
• Nurse-to-patient ratios:
  • Days: 1:5
  • Nights: 1:6
  • Pediatrics: 1:4 (based on acuity)
• Patient population: Adults and Pediatrics (peds assigned based on certification)
• Support staff includes Tele techs, charge nurses, HUCs, and PCTs
• No dedicated IV team
• Nurse managers do not take patient assignments but provide oversight and rounding
• Hospitalist, Respiratory Therapy, and Pharmacy available 24/7
• EMR: Sunrise Allscripts
• Scrub color: any color except all black (scrubs not provided)

Schedule

• Full-time
• 12-hour shifts
• 36-hour weekly guarantee (with up to 3 cancellations)
