Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)
Job Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of PACU experience
- License: Active California RN License (required at submission)
- Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- First-Time Travelers: Accepted
- Mandatory Skills/Experience:
- Conscious sedation
- IV starts
- Pulmonary artery line (Swan-Ganz) monitoring
- Telemetry monitoring
- Ventilator management
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications:
- CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) – preferred
- Clinical Skills:
- Care of ventilated patients
- Types of anesthesia knowledge
- Dysrhythmia recognition and management
- Pulmonary artery line monitoring
- ICP (Intracranial Pressure) monitoring
- Procedural sedation administration and monitoring
