Job Opportunity: Operating Room RN
Location: Willoughby, Ohio
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Role: Circulating nurse in a Level III Trauma center
- Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
- Call required: Minimum of 1 weekday per week and 1-2 weekend days per month (Saturday or Sunday)
- Surgical Specialties include:
- General Acute Care Surgery
- Robotic Surgery
- Orthopedics (including total joints)
- Orthopedic Trauma
- Vascular
- Ophthalmology
- Urology
- Podiatry
- Thoracic Surgery
Required Qualifications
Licensure
- Valid, permanent RN license in Ohio (temporary licenses not accepted)
- Primary source verification required within 30 days of start and updated upon expiration
- License must be re-verified every 2 years with RN license renewal
Certifications
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- ACLS (American Heart Association)
Experience
- Specialty: RN Surgery
- Minimum years of experience: Not explicitly stated; assume standard RN Surgery experience expected (confirm with recruiter if needed)

Health and Safety Requirements
- COVID-19 vaccine preferred but not required (medical or religious exemptions accepted)
- MMR: Positive titers within last 15 years or appropriate booster schedule
- Varicella: Positive titers within last 15 years or appropriate booster schedule
- Hepatitis B: Proof of full series, partial series with declination, or positive titers within 15 years
- Tdap: Vaccination within last 10 years (no declinations accepted)
- Influenza vaccine required during flu season (October–March) or must complete specific masking and declination forms
- 2-Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) within last 6 months; if positive, clear chest x-ray and current TB questionnaire required
- Fit test for N95 respirators completed within 1 year prior to start
- Physical exam within 1 year prior to start confirming ability to work without restrictions
Background and Compliance
- Ohio fingerprints and criminal background checks as per state residency duration
- National criminal background check including sex offender registry within 6 months of start
- OIG exclusion check within 6 months of start
- SAM/EPLS/GSA/OFAC clearance within 6 months of start
- Drug screen within 60 days of start (10-panel, lab report required; instant screens not accepted)
- Education and employment verification within 5 years through third-party verification
- Skills checklist completed within 1 year prior to start (clinical skills specific)
- Competency exam with minimum 80% score within 1 year prior to start
- Core competencies (HIPAA, OSHA, Joint Commission topics) completed within 1 year prior to start
- Driver’s license or state ID (non-expired photo ID) required

- Submission packet includes resume, 2 professional references (within last 2 years), job application, and employment history form
- Modules for safety and compliance training must be completed prior to clearance and renewed annually
