Location: IHS Facility in Chinle, AZ 

Pay Rate: $60 per hour plus $1,246 Weekly Travel Stipends  
Schedule: 8/10/12 hour shift / 40 hours per week 

Contract Length: 3 months, with the option to extend 

Job Description: 

The Travel Pharmacist will provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care in support of patient safety and high-quality clinical services at an Indian Health Service (IHS) facility. This role supports outpatient and/or inpatient pharmacy operations while ensuring compliance with federal regulations, clinical standards, and IHS policies. 
Requirements: 

• 2 years of experience as a Licensed Pharmacist. 
• Active, current, and unrestricted Pharmacist license in any U.S. state or territory 
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification 
• Provide a valid liability insurance  

Responsibilities 

• Review, verify, and dispense prescription medications in accordance with federal regulations and facility policies
• Provide medication counseling and education to patients and caregivers
• Ensure accurate medication order entry and documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Monitor drug therapies for appropriateness, interactions, allergies, and adverse reactions
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy and patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with IHS, federal, and pharmacy practice standards
• Support inventory management, medication storage, and controlled substance procedures
