Description

Job Title: CVOR Scrub Tech (CST – NBSTSA Required)
Location: Johnson City, NY
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Day Shift | 40 hours/week

Shift Details:

Monday–Friday day rotation
Start times between 6:00 AM – 7:00 AM
Options: 5x8s or 4x10s

Call Requirements:

Up to 3 call shifts per week (8–16 hours each)
1 working weekend every 4 weeks (includes call)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced CVOR Scrub Tech with strong cardiothoracic expertise to join a high-performing surgical team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and confident supporting complex cardiovascular procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

Certification: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA (required)
Certifications: BLS (required)
Experience:
- CVOR experience required
- Cardiothoracic experience required, including:
  - CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting)
  - Valve replacements
  - VATS (Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery)
  - Robotic thoracic procedures

Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain sterile field for cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries
Anticipate surgeon needs during procedures
Handle surgical instruments and supplies efficiently
Ensure adherence to safety and infection control protocols
Collaborate with surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
