Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit Part of a multidisciplinary team helping pediatric patients regain independence and transition back to school and home life Average
Job Specifics: experience in pediatrics and preferably with feeding and with an intensive rehab unit. Frequently seen Dx of traumatic brain injury, polytrauma orthopedic injuries, burns, and spinal cord injury
caseload: 3–4 patients/day (Unit census: 4–7 patients)
Average length of stay: ~3 weeks
CA SLP License and BLS required
About the Role:
- Collaborative team of PTs, OTs, SLPs, Recreational Therapists, Social Workers, and more
- Patients are medically stable with clear rehabilitation goals
- Common diagnoses include brain injuries and other neurological conditions
- Epic charting system used
- Average caseload: 3–4 patients/day (Unit census: 4–7 patients)
- Average length of stay: ~3 weeks
- May float to Burn Unit (experience preferred)
