Unit Notes:* * RN's - Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation. OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated * ***CHEMO CERT PREFERRED NOT REQUIREDRadius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.**Driver's license required at submittal and will be used to determine if candidate is outside 50 miles.****Fingernail policy: Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care- refusal to remove nails will lead to termination of contract specific patient types/diagnoses - Oncology PCU and Trauma PCU oif they want specific oncology experience for this floor - chemotherapy certified preferredohow many years of experience they require: 1 year ook with first time travelers yes for the charge- is this experience required, if so how long yes minimum 1 year How many beds 28 What ratios do they run 1:4 PCU 1:5 med/surg its a mixed unit More specific patient diagnoses commonly seen : oncology and trauma Do travelers need specific oncology experience or is PCU experience okay oncology and PCU exp Are RNs required to titrate drips: insulin occasionally cardizem What are common titratable and/or set rate dripso Is BLS and ACLS required yes What RT equipment do they see on this floor for traveler awareness Where will PCU- Oncology travelers float to med/surg and PCU units How much orientation will they receive 2 days Due At Submit:DOBSSNPhone EmailPerm AddressHave they had EPIC w/in 6 months (not a deal breaker just need to know for orientation)Have they worked for CHI or Dignity in any capacityRTO needed upfront (7 or less days required per 13 week contract). We see Oncology patients from diagnosis to remission but if not we help them to go peacefully to the next stage.
