STICU (Surgical Trauma ICU): Candidates need to have a strong surgical background, preferably with experience in trauma, post-trauma patients, burns, orthopedics, cardiovascular surgical patients, neurosurgical patients, and other complex surgical cases secondary from traumas or oncological issues. Experience with CRRT, dialysis, Open Heart recovery is highly desirable. Medical ICU patients can be placed in this unit if no other ICU beds are available.
